Blessings in a Bag

 

 

Blessings in a Bag (BIAB) started as a volunteer-powered community determined to provide every child and their family - in emergency or challenging situations - with the essentials needed to thrive and to feel safe, valued and happy.  They partner with social-service organizations to bridge the gap between communities that have with communities that need, who receive these items at no cost or through incentivised programs which enable them to take ownership of their situations.

 

For over a decade, BIAB has been the go-to for collection and distribution of donations-in-kind that would have otherwise ended up in landfills or sat collecting dust.  Communities across South East Asia have benefited from their work and used these items as social incentives for local programs (within their own communities).

 

Your purchases contribute to frequent campaigns that Blessings in a Bag runs, and also to enable their daily operations.

Give the Gift of Safe Space

 

This year, you may have found that you were in need of your own safe space - whether that was with your immediate family - feeling safe at home, virtual calls with friends that inspired laughter and joy and coming up with creative ideas to keep spirits lifted during uncertain times.

Now think about how we do just that each and every week of the year for over 100 children and their families in the last two years. That's over 144 points-of-connection that our community makes, at least every year.

If this year has made us aware of anything it is this:

safe space (in real life and online) is important.

It's critical for well-being of the heart, mind and body. So for this year's giving season, Blessings in a Bag invites you to gift young people from some of Singapore’s most-vulnerable neighbourhoods a safe space to grow and flourish by helping them raise

$15,000 by January 1, 2021.

Your contributions will keep their doors open in 2021 and allow the organisation to continue their work as a trusted community, helping children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 years learn new skills and grow in confidence.
